I cried while writing this, just fyi, for all the things I had to take from him...
Name:
Talik Llewellyn
Personal Quote:
“…I know that nothing will ever be the same. That this is the twilight of the world… But, that doesn’t mean that I can’t keep trying, right?”
Gender:
Male
Age:
Ageless (looks to be about 16)
Appearance:
Talik is about five foot five and has long (long meaning, when it’s not tied up, its thigh-length) silvery hair. It is about the shade of mercury. He has deep blue eyes that have the texture of crushed and melted sapphire. He has pale skin, almost the color of buttermilk. He has a boyish figure what with being slender and stuff. He has large feathery wings that can retract at will. A golden halo tops his head like a crown. He dresses for practicality now a day, not for comfort. Meaning, generally it’s whatever he can get his hands on, he’s not picky.
Are you something supernatural? If so, what?
He’s an angel sent down from Heaven. Used to be an Archangel, but gave it all up to be a Guardian Angel.
Talents, powers, or special skills:
His wings allow him to fly when fully extended. He is able to perform small miracles, nothing really life altering. In order to defend himself and others, he’s able to produce a bow and quiver of arrows made entirely of Holy Light.
Personality:
Since the incident with Damian and the general downfall of Arsheeity, Talik’s personality has changed slightly. No longer is he the naïve, innocent ball of sunshine. Now, the angel is wary about the future, it’s brought nothing but grief to him; those that he is friends with or close to, he will viciously defend and protect, even laying his own life down for them. Much more serious, Talik knows that life is no longer fun and games and has buckled down and gotten to business. The smallest things make him happy still, like finding a living flower, but then it depresses him because these moments are so rare. In the past he was open about who and what he was, but now he hides the fact that he is an angel; one would have to in order to survive. Rudely woken up by life, Talik all too well understands what reality and the present is like now.
Strengths:
His determination, loyalty, a positive outlook on life, and the cause he’s fighting for now.
Weaknesses:
He is too trusting, emotionally sensitive, his compassion, and not knowing when to let things go.
Likes:
He loves sunshine on a summer’s evening, ice cream, his friends, and other people’s happiness.
Dislikes:
What Arsheeity’s become, death (though he knows it’s necessary), himself at times (he’s prone to bouts of depression now), and absolutely abhors those that made him like this.
History:
Once upon a time there was an angel. This angel was sent down by God himself in order to try and better the world. One of the first things the angel did while on earth was meet a boy, in a field of dandelions. The angel and the boy became fast friends, the boy being kind enough to shelter him. But, unfortunately, life wasn’t so forgiving. You see, the boy had a lover and this lover was an evil spirit. The angel and the evil spirit had met once before; during a Holy war. But the angel was too kind, he let the boy and his evil lover alone… that is, until the angel found that he had feelings for the boy. Desperately the angel tried to convince the boy of his lover’s malignant intentions and that he was being manipulated. The angel confessed his love to the boy, further thickening their problems. The boy believed the angel, but wanted his lover to tell him that it was not true. No such thing happened. The evil spirit spirited away the boy right before the angel’s eyes, whisking him away on a dark, stormy night. The angel frantically pursued the two before confronting the evil spirit on the city’s one bridge. The evil spirit and angel fought; good versus evil, but to no avail. The evil spirit badly wounded the angel, finally bringing the boy to his senses. Other angels descended from Heaven and chased the evil spirit away. The angel was healed and taken to what he now considered home. The evil spirit was completely cut from the boy’s heart and even admitted that he could come to love the angel as well. It seemed the angel had gotten his happy ending.
That is until Appolion, a devil from Talik’s past, and Damian returned with a vengeance. Numerous attacks on both himself and Nikolaus, forced Talik from his beloved’s side.
“…I don’t want you getting anymore hurt than you already are…”
Talik fled the region around Higher Hill, and into Arsheeity Park’s labyrinth. Here, though he could hide from Damian and Appolion, he still had to constantly battle for his life against those wishing him ill. It was around this time the issues between the Iron Wolves and the fae came to a head in a large battle and the Industrial Park was constructed.
Slowly Talik watched with horror as all the life and all that was good in Arsheeity was sapped away, leaving nothing but hatred, violence, and darkness. No longer the person who he used to be, Talik desperately fought to return peace and stability to the city. But the job was too big for one angel alone. Beaten and defeated, Talik hid himself away in the library, bidding his time and holding out hope.
Why are you in Arsheeity?
“I’ll get it back… everything that was taken from me! Everyone I loved, my happiness, my life. And I’ll make them pay dearly, all those that wronged me! That made it so I was always alone, that made each day dark, dismal, and frightening. I swear on my life that I will get it all back!”
